Job Description

The classroom assistant supports students within and outside of the general education classroom according to their IEPs. Helps to implement the goals modifications and benchmarks established by the special education liaison within the building. Works with the classroom teacher and assists in the classroom as the teacher deems appropriate. This may include small group instruction giving frequent breaks making modifications for students and working with diverse learning styles.Works with special needs population. Will implement current IEP plans and assist in data collection.Working with all grade level colleagues along with the classroom teacher and special education liaisons.Experience working with children with behavioral challenges.Other related duties as assigned by the classroom teacher/building principal
