Job Description
Evergreen Virtual Academy(EVA)is seeking highly qualified and motivated professionals to work in an innovativeenvironment.We seek to establish a pool of substitute teachers that would be ready to cover both short and longterm leaves for regular staff. We will provide training and necessary equipment so that substitutes could be ready upon short notice.
Summary:
In the absence of the regular classroom teacher or support staff team member will provide instruction and/or support to students. Duties may include the following depending on assignment:
- Assumes the responsibilities for instructing classes when a teacher is absent utilizing lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
- Assumes the responsibilities forthe role subbing for
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned
- Prepares students for state standardized tests if applicable.
- Develops positive relationships with parents/Learning Coaches students and staff members.
- Supports students and parents/Learning Coaches with school setup and logistics questions including basic computer setup navigation and troubleshooting.
- Responds in a timely manner no longer than 24 business hours to student parent/Learning Coach and staff inquiries via phone and/or email during the regular work week.
- Participates in social and educational activities for students and families.
- Other duties as assigned.
