Job Title:Education Specialist Instructional Technology
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Pay Group: A50Salary Plan
Primary Purpose:Assist with the implementationand delivery ofinstructional technology initiatives associatedwith curriculum and professional development.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
Bachelors degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Educationin Education Criminal Justice Public Administration or a related field.
Five years fulltime wageearning public education or correctional education experience.
Valid Texas teaching certification Principal/MidManagement Certification or valid out of state equivalent certification preferred.
This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Extensive knowledge of academic curriculum and instructional practices.
Skill to interpret and apply rules regulation policies and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills within a diverse community.
Skill to implement instructional technology activities with staff departments agencies organizations and the public at the direction of administration.
Knowledge of personal computer and network hardware operating systems software and peripherals.
Ability to maintain broad knowledge and understanding of adult learning theories.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1.Assist with instructionaltechnology associated professional development activities for teachers principals and administratorsthroughout the district.
2.Assist principals and administrators with the implementation of standardizedcurriculum to include computer software.
3.Collaborate withadministrators educators and principals to improve academic service delivery professional development.
4.Travel extensively throughout the district.
5.Perform other duties as assigned.
Policy Reports and Law:
6. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
7.Perform duties in a professional manner through daily punctual attendance at location of work assignment.
8. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
9. Execute duties in a professional ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247 Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
