Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject:Site Coordinator for the Summer School Literacy and Professional Learning (SSLP) BPS Right to Read Summer Program The Summer School Literacy and Professional Learning (SSLP) program is an innovative initiative that will integrate coursework and practicum experiences designed to support the development of structured literacy practices critical for addressing weaknesses in reading. This twofold program will support both students and teachers. Students in need of additional support with literacy in grades K2 will receive targeted and evidencebased instruction from participating teachers; at the same time those participating teachers will receive professional learning and coaching in evidencebased early literacy practices. QualificationsExperience serving as an administrator at the building level and/or in a summer program.Understanding of a comprehensive approach to literacy instructionWorking knowledge of the science of readingStrong organizational skills especially as they related to managing rosters transportation payroll etc.Responsibilities:All aspects of student registration transportation planning breakfast and lunch planning and any other program logistics both prior to and during the programDay to day supervisor of site including managing staffing and payroll transportation caretaker communication student discipline (if necessary) etc.Regular communication with the Office of Teaching & Learning regarding progress and logisticsProgram Dates: June 30 2025August 1 2025 (No program July 4 2025 Prework required beginning April 15 2025Site Supervisor Hours: Prework up to 30 hours (flexible times) beginning April 15 2025 and 8:15AM 12:45 PM during the program dates.Compensation:Summer Program & PreWork (Total Hours 138 FY26 Contractual Rate (TBD administrator) Funding Source:Title I FY25
