The Dorset School seeks a Paraeducator to work with students in grades K8 for the 2024/2025 school year! The Paraeducator performs a variety of instructional and/or support duties to assist the school and teachers in instruction supervision and education of students in groups or oneonone teacher to student ratios. The Paraeducator supports students in all aspects of their education by supporting an environment conducive to learning. As a positive and nurturing member of the school team this position understands and attends to a variety of students academic social emotional and behavioral needs. This position supports school teams in the implementation of teaching plans and/or services for individual students according to their Individual Education Plan and/or programs designed by a teacher or other professional as directed.Paraeducators work under the daytoday direction of the staff member(s) supported and under the direct supervision of the Principal. Teachers and/or special education personnel will provide specific directions and oversight for supervision and/or instructional support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience compassion and empathy when working with students and professionalism when representing the school.
