This is an exciting opportunity to join Modernas dynamic and rapidly scaling accounting team as a Senior Accountant General Ledger Accounting based in Warsaw Poland. Reporting to the Manager General Ledger Accounting youll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations through the monthly and quarterly close cycles. You will focus on key areas such as fixed assets accruals and general accounting operations while operating within a highperformance collaborative environment. The role demands someone with strong technical knowledge of US GAAP attention to detail and the flexibility to pivot in a fastpaced biotech setting. With touchpoints across internal stakeholders in Capital Projects FP&A Manufacturing Procurement and International Finance this position provides a frontrow seat to the evolution of Modernas global financial footprint.
Heres What Youll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:
Executing monthend and quarterend accounting activities including journal entries and reconciliations for corporate areas such as fixed assets and accruals
Supporting the preparation of internal and external reporting deliverables with robust variance analyses and account commentary
Applying company accounting policies to ensure compliance with US GAAP and alignment with SOX 404 controls
Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders to clarify accounting implications of transactions
Your responsibilities will also include:
Collaborating with global crossfunctional teams to standardize and align financial close processes
Assisting in audit processes by delivering highquality schedules and documentation for both financial and SOX audits
Driving continuous improvements and contributing to special projects and financial reporting initiatives
Identifying and implementing automation opportunities or system enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity
Building and sustaining effective working relationships across Capital Projects FP&A procurement manufacturing and international teams

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in accounting required and CPA preferred
4 years of combined public accounting and/or large public company experience preferably in biotechnology industry
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX 404
Experience with financial systems including SAP S/4 Hana and Blackline preferred
