Upper School Computer Science/Engineering Teacher(starting August 2025:
St. Johns is seeking a talented and knowledgeablecomputer science/engineeringteacher in the Upper School (grades 912. In addition to relevant experience and a strong educational background successful candidates must demonstrate a passion for working with high schoolage students an engaging teaching style and a commitment to developing the whole child and furthering the Schools mission including its strategic initiatives on community and inclusion. St. Johns seeks educators who are innovative and reflective open to feedback and eager for professional collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach 4 sections of Upper School computer science/engineering
Serve as advisor for approximately 810 students and have a strong appreciation for the value of socialemotional learning (SEL)
Collaborate and coordinate closely with grade level and course teams
Contribute to the Upper School community through sponsoring extracurricular programs
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science/engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an Upper School program or significant professional experience in a related field
A commitment to developing ones own cultural competency in a community that celebrates and appreciates diversity.
