Job Description
PartTime Loader Operator Swift Current SK
GFL Environmental is seeking a dedicated PartTime Loader Operator to join our team in Swift Current SK. This role involves operating facility loaders to assist with material movement at the landfill. If you have experience with loader equipment and are available to work every other weekend we encourage you to apply!
This Position is a 3 Month Contract Tentatively Ending June 20th 2025.
Requirements:
- Availability to work every other weekend.
- Experience operating loader equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company safety protocols and guidelines.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure safe and efficient movement of materials by staying alert to changing traffic conditions and other equipment in operation.
- Incident Reporting: Immediately report any accidents or injuries to the facility supervisor or manager providing care to the injured if necessary. Complete a report with the Shift Supervisor within 24 hours as required by law.
- Support Facility Operations: Assist in various production activities such as moving containers dumping cages and other tasks requiring the use of a forklift or loader.
- Minimize Downtime: Keep material flowing to minimize feed downtime.
- Shift Reporting: Accurately document and report operational data at the end of each shift including actual time worked inspection sheets for loader or forklift and loading quality materials into outbound containers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly monitor the condition of forklifts and loaders to ensure timely repairs are made as needed.
