Nights (United States of America)Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Care Companion provides supportive patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal state and local regulations and within the policies procedures and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health.
Essential Job Functions
Providessupport to the patient including but not limited to care and comfortpersonal care and hygiene toileting and mobility.
Creates a safe environment for patients.
Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
Provides highlevel customer service to all patients patients family visitors and all employees.
Participates in handoff/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs upon arrival and when leaving.
