Job Description

Providence Staffings client is seeking a Material Handler for their production plant in LaGrange GA. This role is responsible for efficiently and safely transporting materials to designated racks and Line Operators ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using a tugger.
  • Sort and place materials on racks shelves or bins according to inventory procedures.
  • Learn and follow company work instructions and procedures related to packing shipping operations health & safety and CTPAT compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 1 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and material handling methods.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to walk bend climb stairs and stand for extended periods.
  • Must wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.

Work Environment:

  • Majority of work is performed in a warehouse setting where temperatures may vary and noise levels can range from moderate to high.
