Job Description

Classification Title:

Fiscal Assistant II

Job Description:

Responsible for processing departmental purchases including requisitions for goods and services
through the myUFL Market System. Assists faculty and staff in understanding procedures expediting their purchasing needs obtaining bids and/or justifying items that require sole source documents and notifying department personnel of University and State regulations regarding purchases. Verifies receipt of goods and approves invoices for payment.

Reconciles all department purchasing card transactions ensuring that the charges are appropriately
charged to the correct funding source. Oversees the verification and imaging process for all purchasing
card transactions.

Monitors and reviews charges and recommends and facilitates appropriate corrective action to ensure compliance with department college and university policies for the departments unrestricted funds.

Process all departmental travel authorizations and expense reports. Ensures all travel and expense
reports are in compliance with department college university and /or sponsoring agency policies
(federal foundation and nongovernmental) Reconciles travel and employee reimbursement transactions
as appropriate.

Continuously offers support guidance and training to Pcard holders travelers and purchasers to
ensure they are kept informed of fiscal policy and procedures and adhere to UF and department travel and
purchasing policies.

Expected Salary:

$19.32$21.88 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to effectively and professionally communicate information through written and verbal interaction.
Ability to work independently and establish priorities
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as other various software applications.
Must work well in a team environment
Ability to explain and apply complex policy and procedures
Must be detailoriented
Familiarity with UF financial reporting sourcesSpecial Instructions to Applicants:
