JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sr Manager Health Programs the Health & Wellness Research Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination and oversight of research programs involving the Health and Wellness Division in partnership with ISCC.
This position will be dedicated to the success of QNIHS and all other research projects that emerge.

- Knowledge of Inuvialuit and Inuit health issues
- Experience in working on and organizing complex multilevel projects
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands effectively
- Relationship building skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to interpret various sources of information on healthrelated issues
- Ability to troubleshoot in the moment and provide advice for ideal outcomes
- Ability to track and monitor progress including the quality of program initiatives
- Reporting and project evaluation abilities
- Ability to work in a crosscultural environment
- Must be able to travel in small planes on ice roads and highways.
- Extended travel is required during survey implementation within the ISR
- Experience developing and monitoring logistics
- Experience working in high demand environment
- Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality
- Awareness of social detriments within Inuit communities
- Additional training required as identified by Manager
Qualifications
- A minimum of one 1 year of work experience in a researchrelated field would be an asset
- A minimum of two 2 years of work experience in a healthrelated or community frontline work
- Knowledge of local Indigenous language and culture would be considered an asset
