Primary Purpose:
Plan implement and manage the high school Spanish language program to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop communication skills in Spanish and gain an understanding of Hispanic cultures to function successfully in a global society.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
Demonstrated competency in Spanish language instruction
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of Spanish language grammar and culture
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction best practices
Ability to instruct students and manage classroom behavior effectively
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to integrate technology and realworld applications into lessons
Experience:
Student teaching approved internship or related work experience
