A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Develops modifies and tests software units per corporate software process documents.
- Contributes to software design specifications interface descriptions and other software documentations; may act as documentation owner for limited scope projects.
- Contributes to software validation (write dry run & review) & verification protocols.
- In coordination with the Software Test team participates in formal test .
- Assists with developing unit tests.
- Embraces the Design Control process by participating in design reviews and maintaining design history files.
- Supports software testing with utility software or special purpose embedded software.
- May lead projects of limited scope.
- Assists with training of new team members.
- Manages source code effectively using Source Code Management (SCM) tools processes and procedures.
- Assists product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of build and deployment issues.
- Researches new technologies as needed.
- Attends and may coordinate documentation for the Software Review Board (SRB).
- Assists in analyzing returned products to determine root cause of failure.
- Collects process metrics and lessons learned reviews and evaluates processes and work products and recommends improvements as appropriate.
- Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other legal and regulatory requirements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

1. Knowledge skills & abilities:
- Able to effectively convey information related to work product in oneonone conversation or in a group.

- Experienced with MS Office.
- Some knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred.
- Exposure to formal software test methodologies preferred.
2. Minimum certifications/educational level:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- For Embedded Software Engineers: experience in the C programming language preferred.
- For Web Application Engineers: experience in either SQL C# C or / JavaScript preferred.
3. Minimum experience:
- Six months experience in the field of embedded software for medical devices web application software or in a related area.

COMPENSATION:
The starting base pay range for this position is $41.00 $46.00 per hour. Base pay will vary based on jobrelated knowledge skills experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidates location and the overall job market.
**This is a temporary position. As a temporary employee you will be employed through a staff agency partner. Benefits during your temporary assignment may be provided by the staffing agency. Access to Tandem sponsored benefits is contingent upon conversion from temporary to regular fulltime status. Conversion is determined based upon business need and job performance.
