Role:

To assist customers and potential customers with their banking needs; look for crosssell opportunities and make appropriate referrals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

E 60 Assists customers with the opening and closing all account types; answers questions about products and services and resolves problems; helps customers with electronic funds transfers; provides expertise in internet banking products; responds to problems and directs customers to the appropriate person or team; identifies crosssell opportunities and crosssells products and services. Perform teller duties as needed. Assists in taking consumer loan applications entering data in loan system and help with closings.


E 15 Assists Branch Manager in resolving customer problems and complaints; ensures that staff follows bank policies and procedures and helps branch personnel with questions and issues; approves checks for cashing up to established limits; coordinates scheduling of vacations sick days etc. with all staff; makes monthly schedule to ensure branch is adequately staffed and work with the teller staffing coordinator to request relief needs.


E 5 Trains directs and evaluates employee performance within the department; identifies performance problems and assists Branch Manager with corrective counseling of branch staff.


E 5 Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the proper completion of the Branch Review Forms including communicating form updates to the branch staff when necessary.


E 5 Responsible for and assists with the quarterly surprise cash audits (tellers RBG & ATM); perform teller duties and manage the vault and daily cash target requirements when needed.


E 5 Monitors branch activities for compliance with established policy and regulations; takes action to resolve any noncompliant issues.


N 5 Other related duties as assigned.


Performance Measurements:

1. To comply with the letter and with the spirit of the banks Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.


2. To maintain the confidentiality of customer and any other sensitive information.


3. To be punctual and have regular attendance.


4. To ensure that the branch is providing friendly professional personal service to all customers.


5. To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.


6. To help develop the skills and knowledge of department/branch staff; to conduct performance reviews and foster the development of department/branch staff.


7. To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.


8. To ensure that tellers meet teller balancing and accuracy standards and adhere to checkcashing guidelines.


9. To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department.


10. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.


11. To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with department/branch staff.



Knowledge and Skills:

Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.


Education 1 A twoyear college degree or 2 completion of a specialized certification or licensing or 3 completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors or 4 jobspecific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.


Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of firstlevel conflict resolution building relationships and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.


Other Skills Must have good communication skills. 10key calculator and computer keyboard skills required; must be accurate with numbers and names.


Physical Requirements The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or customers and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator photocopier and printer.


Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and may require travel to branches and other office buildings.. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators computers phones photocopier filing cabinets and fax machines.
