Job Description

McCormick & Company Inc. a global leader in the spice flavor and seasonings industry is seeking a fulltime Senior Marketing Manager on a Condiment and Sauces Team. This new hire will work in a hybrid capacity at our Global HQlocated in Hunt Valley MD. The Senior Marketing Managerwill report to aMarketing Director of Condiments and Sauces.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This Senior Marketing Manager will be leading marketing activities across the Condiments & Sauces Delivery team. Responsibilities include the direction development and of strategic plans for product groups to achieve sales goals. Overall responsibility for volume/profitability creative advertising consumer & trade promotion merchandising packaging new products and pricing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for overall P&L pricing strategy and budgets of product groups.
  • Provides direction to key crossfunctional partners such as research sales product development manufacturing quality finance legal & advertising agencies.
  • Develops comprehensive annual brand plans for presentation and alignment to divisional leadership
  • Monitors of plans and makes course correction as needed.
  • Collaborates closely with Global Marketing team on new products and line extension development testing promotions advertising and public relations.
  • Liaison with global and North American retail teams to leverage efficiencies and learning across geographies.
  • Development engagement & management of direct reports; mentoring of others

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Marketing or Business Management
  • Demonstrated relevant skills & results in consumer packaged goods marketing forecasting advertising market research consumer & trade promotion P&L management and business planning required
  • Demonstrated success building brands in consumer packaged goods marketing 8 years)
  • Proven team leadership and employee management and development skills 5 years)
  • Expertise in syndicated databases market research business planning media planning finance promotional activities and consumer communications
  • Expert level understanding of concepts principles and practices in Marketing and a sound understanding in other areas including Sales Finance and Supply Chain
  • Indepth understanding of how own area integrates with crossfunctional teams such as Sales.
  • Understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and developed diplomacy skills required to guide influence & convince others; strong relationship with Sales and external customers and agencies
  • Financially savvy with ability to manage cost centers negotiate services and associated fees
  • Experience leading crossfunctinoal team is preferred
