Job Description
- Document current system including database structure business logic and code base
- Determine implement & maintain technical solutions to improve system stability reduce downtime improve business processes
- Design implement & test customization & extensions to the PowerBuilder ERP platform
- Design & write complex SQL queries
- Seek opportunities to implement improvements to internal processes
- Maintain schedules to ensure tasks & projects are completed
- Meet with business owners to determine requirements
- Evaluate scope & feasibility of business requirements
- Seek & maintain knowledge proactively on the latest emerging trends
- Minimum five years of SQL experience in writing for database driven applications & report writing
- High intellectual horsepower with the ability to solve complex problems quickly & envision innovative solutions
- Experience with PowerBuilder; SQL Server
- Proven ability to convert business requirements into actionable development requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing
- Ability to use sound judgment
- Ability to manage time & workloads effectively planning organizing prioritizing with attention to details
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with understanding of MRP logic & Bill of Materials structure
