Job Description
This is a special educationcertified staff position at Torrington High School in Torrington Wyoming for theacademic year. Torrington High Schoolserves students in grades 912. Start date is August 11 2025.
Purpose Statement
The job of Teacher Special Education was established for the purpose/s of developing special education students success in academics interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities outcomes; addressing students specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students parents and administration regarding student progress expectations goals etc.
This position reports to the building principal.
Position is open through March 21 2025 or until filled.
Experience Job related experience is desired.
Education Bachelor degree in Special Education
Continuing Educ./Training Maintains PTSB certification by earning 5 credit hours per every 5 year renewal period
Certificates & Licenses Professional Teaching Standards Board Certification withapplicable Special Educationendorsement(s)
Clearances Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
