FullTime Elementary Teacher For The
Paddle Prairie School
Northland School Division is seeking a Continuous Elementary Teacher at Paddle Prairie School for theschool year. The start date of this position will be August 25th 2025. The kindergarten to grade 12 school is located in the Paddle Prairie Mtis Settlement one of only eight legislated Mtis land bases with Mtis governments established in Northern Alberta Canada and protected by legislation. The settlement is 70 kilometers south of High Level Alberta and 1 hour and 14 minutes north of Manning Alberta. Major Responsibilities include:
- Following the prescribed program of studies for each subject taught.
- Plan and execute daily lessons based on short medium and long range planning.
- Provide feedback to students and parents in a regular timely manner.
- Champion Cree language/culture revitalization and curriculum infusion.
- Support schoolparentcommunity engagement.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and commit to collaborativedecision making.
- Promote differentiated instruction to meet diversity in learning needs.
- Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
- Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd. degree.
- Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.
