GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for high level projects across the tripartite mission within BWH Psychiatry. Reporting to the Executive Director of BWH Psychiatry the Project Manager will be responsible for project direction implementation support data analysis timely development of deliverables and maintaining positive relationships with the many faculty and staff of our clinical research and education divisions of our department.
Responsible for project management support and leadership on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives that are part of the BWH Psychiatry Strategic Plan as well as operations including but not limited to: behavioral health integration clinical expansion HMS activities and education projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs projects including modeling behavioral health integration required HMS projects and clinical expansion from start to finish
- Provides direct support to BWH Psychiatry Executive Director on all aspects of the work plan including facilitating meetings collecting and analyzing data serving as a resource on best practices and coaching practice staff members through quality improvement processes.
- With minimal input from department leadership creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Reviews project deliverables prepared by teams and executes plans independently
- Facilitates discussions among stakeholders and project resources in support of project deliverables
- Develops and maintains knowledge of Hospital and Partnerswide systems used by psychiatry clinical faculty. Provides assistance with ensuring accuracy of data within these systems and provides assessments on the impact of any systemwide changes that may occur.
- Formulates business plans for innovative psychiatric clinical service lines to bring new business into the department.
- Works with clinical and operational leadership to provide internal consulting services assessing current systems and processes and establish recommendations for the implementation of clinical and operational strategies for change and improvement and follows through on implementation independently
- Prepares modeling on expansion with both a deep understanding of the clinical landscape/operations as well as the financial limitations
- Leads psychiatrywide initiatives consistent with the strategic plan as required including residency education clinical and research
- Leads internal meetings within Psychiatry on a regular basis and work collaboratively with the Psychiatry central administrative/leadership team.
- Lead on major departmental projects as assigned by the Director

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree required in public or health management the sciences or business administration; Masters degree preferred.
- Five years of related experience required.
- Prior consulting work and/or practice and project management a plus.
