QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree required preferably in business marketing public relations or communications.

Recruiter is required to maintain a valid drivers license and personal vehicle as travel to practice sites is required.

Demonstrated track record of successful physician recruitment in a competitive environment coupled with retention of those physicians hired.

Minimum of 8 years recruiting in general and 4 years physician recruiting is required.

Flexibility to schedule interviews and meetings in the early morning and evenings as needed is required.

Strong public relations experience and/or certification in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) preferred.

SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Dynamic and engaging personality with strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.

Knowledge of marketing principles.

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Brigham and Womens Health Care (BWHC) aspires to be a market leader in the transformation from volume to value. In line with this primary care growth remains a central strategic goal for the organization and BWHC is formally establishing primary care as a BWHC Center of Excellence (CoE). As a CoE it joins six other BWHC CoEs (Cancer; Heart & Vascular; Lung; Neurosciences; Orthopedics & Arthritis; and Womens Health) as an essential institutional strategic priority.

With this major commitment to primary care BWHC is seeking an experienced recruiter to establish and maintain central coordination of all physician recruitment functions. This position is involved in all phases of new Primary Care Provider employment including recruitment screening interview coordination placement activities and postplacement on boarding. In addition to the daytoday recruiting activities the position is responsible for developing a strategic plan and recruitment framework to help the BWHC Primary Care Center of Excellence achieve its recruitment goals which include sourcing candidates to fill open positions as well as developing a pipeline of candidates to support PCP retirement and other attrition. This role will employ a matrix reporting relationship with a primary/direct report to the Director of Primary Care and a secondary/indirect report to the Executive Director of Human Resources.

BWHC has one of the countrys top groups of Primary Care Providers (PCPs); many widely recognized for their clinical excellence. The primary care practices serve a broad crosssection of the greater Boston community and provide care for approximately 195000 patients. This is accomplished by the time and efforts of approximately 185 physicians 113 FTEs). BWHC is seeking to increase the number of PCPs by 3050 net new providers over the next three years. This role will support primary care growth for BWHC which includes the Brigham and Womens Physicians Organization community health centers and and South Community business unit.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Design

1.Participate in the evaluation of PCP needs within the BWHC Primary Care Center of Excellence.

2.Develop and deliver an effective recruitment plan to attract and retain qualified and highcaliber candidates; proactively communicate the plan and process to key stakeholders.

3.Educate the compensation planning process.

4.Draft job descriptions and work responsibilities that highlight the skills and qualities critical to being a successful PCP at BWHC.

5.Develop implement and facilitate a providerspecific Orientation Program that will yield success in orienting new providers to resources referral management and key information about BWHC.

Sourcing & Recruiting

1.Lead the identification interview coordination and recruitment followup with both contracted firms and candidates. Manage relationship between the BWHC Primary Care CoE and contracted firms.

2.Possess expert knowledge of the marketplace and deliver reliable information to providers in order to match each providers professional and personal goals with recruitment opportunities.

3.Maintain working knowledge of New England health systems and regional communities in order to market effectively to candidates.

4.Develop relationships with residency programs program directors and the residents to source candidates for newly posted positions and to develop new pipelines into the BWHC Primary Care CoE.

5.Screen and select qualified candidates for interviews after ensuring the candidates qualifications and skills are acceptable for the job opening.

6.Assist in the coordination of all recruitment activities including tours of key areas of interest within the BWHC service area.

7.Develop recruitment packages to ensure optimal success in recruitment efforts.

8.Coordinate physician interview schedules and ensure candidate arrangements during preinterview interview and post interview are conducted without incident.

9.Maintain recruitment database for all candidates and agencies.

10.Promote and utilize the most efficient appropriate and effective communication tools taking care to customize approach to individual providers preferences.

Offer & On Boarding

1.Check physicians references and credentials before extending formal offer.

2.Work closely with Division Department and Human Resources representatives once employment offer is signed.

3.Improve communication throughout the BWHC Primary Care CoE through personal contact via office visits correspondences and phone calls with Medical Directors Practice Managers and clinicians including routine or followup visits/phone calls to newly recruited providers.

4.Serve as administrative lead between newlyhired providers and BWHC Provider Services to ensure timely completion of provider applications. Provide continued support on behalf of the new provider throughout the credentialing and enrollment process.

Brand & Relationship Building

1.Promote the brand and vision of BWHC and perform all duties in accordance with BWHCs mission vision and values.

2.Serve as ambassador for the Primary Care CoE the Department of Medicine and BWHC; leverage existing relationships and create new ones.

3.Arrange for formal and informal meetings or dinners between potential recruits and existing providers and leaders.

4.Serve as a liaison to BWHC marketing and communications departments for the review and development of materials to promote the BWHC Primary Care CoE and new providers. Work with the marketing department to develop key materials that will be provided to all BWHC new hires highlighting the BWHC Primary Care CoE and the comprehensive services offered.

5.Maintain strict confidentiality within the group and community of all strategic and other information regarding providers practices and BWHC.
