Job Description

Masters degree in genetics/genetic counseling required Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experiences in clinical genetics field required. Meticulous organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple project and sites Ability to develop procedures and manuals for multiple projects Ability to determine requirements for technical support Knowledge of guiding development software tools Independence initiative and problemsolving ability. Ability to interact effectively with network of researchers clinicians and laboratories Public speaking skills to engage broad international participation

This role will provide support for two efforts dedicated to improving genomic medicine through data sharing. The role within the Clinical Genome Resource (ClinGen) will be a project lead providing clinical support for the development of a ClinGen caselevel repository. In addition this individual will support the activities of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) through coordination and of work groups and projects with particular focus on the Matchmaker Exchange initiative and the eHealth task team. Clinical Genome Resource (ClinGen): Work closely with the relevant ClinGen working groups and IT specialists to define the needs of a caselevel repository to support patient data sharing aimed at informing genomic medicine practices Provide support for and participate on the ClinGen Phenotype working group to guide content and clinical interactions for caselevel efforts as well as provide other support for the Phenotyping workgroup Work with clinicians and other members of the Phenotyping work group to support and provide guidance to their projects Serve as the point person for the Stanford Informatics team and the chosen group that may supply a baseline caselevel repository system Ensure the development of the repository meets the needs of the end user. This includes gathering specifications for the repository passing them on to the software engineers testing the system once developed and overseeing the collection of user feedback to supply enhancements to the system Interact with collaborative efforts in the genomics community to set standards for caselevel data collection storage and sharing through the attendance at conferences workshops and other venues where needs can be defined Work closely with other coordinators of ClinGen to ensure synergy in activities of ClinGen and contribute to the development of educational materials about the caselevel repository Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH): Coordinate and support the evolving efforts of work groups and projects of the GA4GH Support the Broad Institutes host role within the GA4GH working closely with senior Broad staff responsible for interactions with the GA4GH Support the activities of the Matchmaker Exchange by gathering and defining needs of the community for solving the causes of rare disease through genomic matchmaking Support the GA4GH eHealth task team to determine what current efforts exist in eHealth that attempt to collect and link genomic and phenotypic data working with academia governmentled initiatives clinical health care providers industry and the public Support the eHealth task team in harmonizing global efforts by bringing colleagues together to agree on common principles as a foundation Organize meetings workshops and conference calls take meeting minutes maintain the content of the MME website and portions of the GA4GH website including the eHealth project
