Current MA RN license and BSN required. Must have demonstrated clinical competence in area of nursing practice and demonstrated leadership ability. Supervisory experience preferred. Critical Care experience preferred. Excellent communication skills required.
Responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of patient care units during evenings nights weekends and holidays in the absence of Nurse Managers and Directors. Translates the objectives policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Department of Nursing into effective action. Has the authority to make decisions regarding patient care within the framework of established policies. As a representative of Nursing and Hospital Administration the Nursing Supervisor has the authority in their absence to make decisions regarding hospital operations within hospital policies and procedures and initiate action until a member of Hospital and/or Nursing Administration is able to assume responsibility.
