Job Description

The Web Producer is an integral member of the Development Offices digital marketing program and plays a critical role in packaging and preparing content for digital campaigns including the web and email and optimizing it for search engines (SEO).
Reporting to the Senior Director of Development Integrated Marketing and Communications and Information Management the Producer works closely with the Communications team to translate editorial content into compelling and rich online media using image and video editing software. He/she will help expand the reach and frequency ofnewslettersand otherdigitalmarketing content to allow for constant contact with donors and pushbrandawareness tobenefitall programs
The Producer works closely with the team to ensure the departments web site is frequently updated based on highquality standards in line with industry best practices. The Web Producer is responsible for identifying and bringing forth new customer needs for the development and implementation of new technologies templates and tactics.
The ideal candidate will have experience with web publishing email marketing online advertising and social media tools and possess a high level of creativity initiative and energy. He/she will be an exceptional individual contributor as well as a team player with a strong sense of professional ethics and the ability to work effectively in a large complex dynamic and sophisticated organization.

Major Duties
  • Produce all web content in WordPress including news posts event listings and landing pages campaign landing pages product listings and other content as needed
  • Work with the departments template library to produce all email marketing including enewsletters event invitations solicitations announcements and other email campaigns
  • Ensure that web marketing materials comply with all brand and style guidelines serve as a final check on all web and email content produced by others; ensure technical accuracy of web and other digital content
  • Provide support to the communications team to identify relevant key words and other material to support search engine optimization.
  • Ensure that all images are properly formatted and optimized for the web
  • Upload and format all videos produced for events and make them web ready including optimizing them for search engine as well as performing any needed light editing
  • Trouble technical issues with the web site and perform daily quality assurance checks to ensure a consistent user experience for donors prospects and other web site visitors
  • Create donation forms and other forms for the departments web site
  • Respond to new project requests and evaluate the appropriate solution needed
  • Identify changes to project deadlines and help manage expectations of users in the development office
  • Work with members of the Information Management (IM) team to develop email marketing lists and ensure unsubscribe request and other list maintenance is reflected in Raisers Edge
  • Provide support for the departments peertopeer fundraising/crowdfunding platform (fundraise) and interface with donors and fundraisers as needed to provide support
  • Stay abreast of latest trends and emerging best practices and provide instruction and mentorship to staff
  • Train staff to become web content authors on office Content Management System (CMS) WordPress; identify new training opportunities and develop training material as dictated by staff needs
  • Participate in weekly planning calls and other meetings as appropriate and work with members of the Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) team to ensure timely completion of projects and accurate deadline management
Bachelors degree required. A minimum of 24 years related experience required; experience in technology and interactive marketing required.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills abilities and competencies:
  • Experience with web publishing email marketing online advertising and social media tools
  • Experience with crossbrowser and cross platforms testing
  • Proficient with HTML/CSS and well versed in modern web site publishing practices using a CMS
  • In depth knowledge of interactive marketing technologies and strategies and innovations
  • Experience managing multiple web technologies and applications
  • Experience with content management systems and ecommerce platforms especially WordPress
  • Experience with email marking tactics and managing email marketing campaigns
  • Proficiency with email marketing tools especially Marketo
  • Experience with search engine optimization and search engine marketing practices
  • Experience integrating content with social media
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
  • Persuasive oral communication skills
  • Strong technical skill set
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with customer support processes
  • Excellent project management abilities
