This is a grantfunded position. Funding for this position is contingent upon the terms of the grant. This position is funded through 09/30/2029.

Under the direction of the Dean STEM Pathway this Director Biohealth Career Pathways position works to advance the educational and workforce training vision of the Biohealth Tech Hub and directs activities related to the Biotechnology Radiography and CNC programs. The director also promotes a collaborative communicative working environment with project stakeholders (including leadership in the MCT and Healthcare Pathways) and external partners in an effort to promote the Colleges Mission and Vision and to provide a positive learning environment that leads to students who complete relevant degree programs and enter the workforce in a field related to Biohealth.

Additionally this individual networks with Biohealth Tech Hub partners and facilitates partnerships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure the success of the ABC Pathways project; develops strategic plans for funding for Biohealth ABC Pathways initiatives; and provides leadership in managing Biohealth Tech Hub grants and other funding sources in collaboration with initiative team leaders.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Compliance with all state federal and accreditation standards/requirement as well as all MATC policies and procedures.

Required Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Biology Health or related field and five 5 years of related work experience with three 3 years of supervisory experience or one 1 year of staff supervision combined with an Emerging Leaders equivalency.

Preferred Education & Experience: Masters degree in Biology Health or related field and more than five 5 years of experience with a minimum of three 3 years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge of the functions and objectives of Biohealth and/or Biotechnology and workforce developmentrelated programs and student support services. Strong understanding of vocational technical and adult education in academic administration.

Knowledge and experience conceptualizing and delivering successful public and private grantsupported projects in a higher education setting.

Ability to problem solve and analyze effectively including use of data analytics such as to analyze and interpret statistical and management data. Demonstrated ability to gather information identify patterns or connections between situations.

Ability to persuade and influence across employment levels and across a large variety of different stakeholders in a higher education setting.

Ability to overcome obstacles by engaging outside resources or utilizing executive direction.

Ability to complete projects in a higher education setting.

Supplemental Information

Start Date: This position supports the STEM Pathway and is available to start as soon as possible. This is a grantfunded position. Funding for this position is contingent upon the terms of the grant. This position is funded through 09/30/2029.


Hours: This position is fulltime 1.0 FTE/40 hours per week. Hours are varied but are generally between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends are required based on student programs and initiatives.Hours vary based on departmental needs.Employees will conduct all work hours in the State of Wisconsin performing work outside the state is strictly prohibited.


Salary: The salary for this position is listed to the midpoint of the 2024/2025 salary range. Salary placement is determined by a review of the applicants employment (on the job application only) and educational background. Please be sure to include your complete work history.
