Our internship provides exposure and training across the MSCI business with an emphasis on your development. You will be constantly learning and well connected to our senior leaders. Your Key Responsibilities
As an intern you will work on a specific meaningful project supporting the MSCI Sustainability Institute. The experience could involve helping with conducting research analytical tasks involving programing and supporting the proactive management of stakeholder relationships. You will gain handson experience working with sustainable finance datasets used by institutional investors to examine trends and generate insights.
A key aspect of the role is collaborating with senior researchers at MSCI and external organizations to contribute to research papers. The ideal candidate should be comfortable conducting indepth research synthesizing findings and coauthoring publications that advance thought leadership.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a relevant field (e.g. Business Economics Finance Sustainability).
- MBA candidates preferred but not required.
- Strong interest in financial markets and sustainability with a preference for candidates who have an understanding of private markets (private equity and credit).
- Strong communication and quantitative skills
- Strong ability to code and visualize data competence Python strongly preferable
- Some exposure to the academic literature on ESG/sustainable finance.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence
- Navigate hurdles with entrepreneurial spirit to develop new business
- High attention to detail and good team player
- Strong analytical data driven and problemsolving skills ability to break down complex issues
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints
