Sloan is the worlds leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems and has been in operation since 1906. We are at the forefront of the green building movement and provide sustainable restroom solutions. We manufacture waterefficient products including flush valves electronic faucets soap dispensing and sink systems along with vitreous china fixtures for commercial industrial and institutional markets worldwide.
Sloan has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Andover MA facility. In this role you will o develop maintain and specify manufacturing processes to manufacture the companys electronic product lines.
Responsibilities include:
- Determine and establish overall manufacturing engineering requirements for items such as machinery equipment tooling manufacturing methods and processes and routings.
- Support shop floor personnel in troubleshooting process and/or quality problems.
- Prepare routings process sheets work instructions and process drawings and establish feeds speeds cycle times and other operating parameters for all types of equipment.
- Recommend justify and implement the installation of new equipment and processes.
- Analyze review and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
- Assist in the design of products to develop Design for Manufacturing parts and processes.
- Identify and implement cost reductions through plant manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial engineering technology
- 8 Years industry related experience with manufacturing technologies methods and assembly processes.
- Ability to collaborate with coworkers shop personnel and outside vendors
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques
- Strong analytical ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
