Job Description

Bachelors Degree is required

3 years of experience in project/program management is required

Experience in planning and leading largescale meetings facilitation and presentation is required

Experience in relationship management at the Sr. Management level is required

Deployment experience is preferred

Experience within a healthcare environment preferred

Familiarity with the system development lifecycle (SDLC)

Experience in Healthcare Operations is a plus

Working Conditions

  • Required to travel to various Partners entities
  • Expected to work during core business hours however this position does require working beyond standard core hours leading up to the go live event and during post live support in order to meet expectations.

Mayhave direct reports but must be able to manage and supervise site teams andthe indirect resources who are participating on the project.

Job Description

Incumbent will report to the Partners eCare Enterprise PMO Director. As part of the Partners eCare initiative to develop and implement an integrated electronic health information system at all institutions across the Partners HealthCare network the Delivery Consultant under the supervision of the Delivery Manager will work directly with PeC cross functional workstreams and application teams to understand key deliverable hospital (entity) responsibilities and top issues and risks. The Delivery Consultant will help coordinate integrated workstream kickoffs focused on communicating delivery approach and entity requirements. The position includes regular interaction with program management as well as project management within the entity and Partners eCare program.

The Delivery Consultant assists in monitoring high risk or high impact workstreams as per the project critical path. S/he manages coordinates activities needed to close or escalate project issues. The Delivery Consultant assists the Delivery Manager to mitigate at risk or overdue deliverables and ensures timeliness of risk and issue closure. They are the primary liaison between Application/Integrated Workstream Managers and the Delivery Manager and provides input to roles and competencies required for team to successfully execute project.

The Delivery Consultant will require some of the following responsibilities:

  • Work indirectly with site project team members to ensure foresight into program activities issues and risks
  • Work to close communication gaps between the program and the sites and provide advisory services accordingly
  • Work directly with PeC cross functional workstreams to understand and communicate as needed their delivery approach (timelines milestones etc. and site requirements
  • Assist with coordinating executive oversight meetings including material on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Understand and manage to the approved PMO scope change management process. Conduct necessary due diligence necessary for presenting. This includes clarifying requests conducting impact assessments identifying alternative options and presenting at weekly PeC scope change meeting
  • Assists in structuring and driving the daily work as per the project critical path
  • Manages and monitors resolution of project issues escalating them to the appropriate decision makers within Partners eCare and Epic as necessary
  • Drives to resolution overdue deliverables and ensures timeliness of pending deliverables
  • Schedules/Leads ad hoc meetings with Team Leads to drive to resolution of issues/risks
  • Develops agendas/presentations
  • Escalates to Delivery Manager when appropriate
  • Act as a liaison between Application Managers and Delivery Manager
  • Provides input to roles and competencies required for team to successfully execute project
  • Ensures accuracy of project plan
  • Provides periodic communication of project status milestones and issues
  • Ensures follow up on key action items
