Salary Range: $78336 $97920per annum comprehensive benefits package

As a Health Promoter youll play a vital role in advancing mental health promotion across Peel. From program design to community engagement your work will directly influence how we support mental wellbeing for residents of all ages and backgrounds.

Your Impact

  • Lead Meaningful Health Promotion Work Plan implement and evaluate innovative programs and strategies to improve mental wellbeing.
    Shape Policy & Practice Analyze data and trends to provide evidencebased recommendations for health promotion policies.
    Champion Community Needs Conduct assessments that uncover what matters most to our residents and stakeholders.
    Create Compelling Content Develop engaging communications including social media posts web pages reports and knowledge translation tools.
    Mobilize Action Support communityled initiatives that empower individuals and organizations to take charge of mental health.
    Foster Collaboration Build strong relationships with internal teams community partners and government organizations.
    Promote Equity & Inclusion Ensure programs reflect the diversity and lived experiences of Peel residents.
    Think Holistically Apply health promotion theory social determinants of health population health and public health sciences in your work.

What You Bring

  • Education & Experience: University degree in a healthrelated field with at least 1 year of relevant experience in health promotion program planning or evaluation.
    Public Health Knowledge: Strong grasp of health promotion frameworks social determinants of health epidemiology and Ontario Public Health Standards.
    Research & Analysis Skills: Experience conducting situational assessments scoping reviews and evidenceinformed decisionmaking.
    Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook SharePoint) with knowledge of social media and communication tools.
    Communication & Collaboration: Skilled at writing facilitating and presenting to diverse audiences with a track record of building successful partnerships.
    Equity Focus: Demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusion in your work and interactions.

  • Experience in mental health promotion mental illness prevention or communitybased mental wellbeing initiatives.
    Background in knowledge translation visual communication or public engagement.

Work Mode:

In this role youll benefit from a hybrid work arrangement that fosters meaningful inperson connections. A minimum of two days per week onsite is expected with additional inperson presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of inperson and remote work to balance organizational priorities and employee flexibility.

Note: Your offsite work location must be within the province of Ontario to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
