Mechanical Design Engineer

MBN Engineering Inc. is expanding our services and growing in Sioux Falls SD. We are currently seeking qualifiedMechanical Designer orEngineering candidatesto work fulltime andin person in ourSioux Falls office. The selected candidate will work in person directly under a licensed professional engineer to develop the required experience and knowledge to become or continue as a successful Licensed Mechanical Engineer.

MBN Engineering Inc. providesconsulting services to architects and developers for Mechanical Electrical Civil and Transmission engineering services.We specializein designing facilities such as sports complexes recreational spaces churches medical and educational facilities operations centers multi family livingenvironment mixed use as well ascommercial establishments for both public and private clients. MBN Engineering began in 2007 and has over 100 years of combined service andlicensed in 33 states.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Design and specification of mechanical systems for building projects including:
  • Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning
  • Plumbing
  • Fire Sprinkler
• Coordinating and meeting with other professional members of the design team
• Construction administration phase activities including:
  • Shop drawing review
  • Pay request review
  • Construction meetings
  • Construction observation and reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with 0 years of experience or designer with 5 plus years of related experience
• EIT is preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Working towards PE license
• Must be willing to work in person on site in the Sioux Falls office
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
• AutoCADRevit and BlueBeam experience a plus
• Must be well organized and can work independently and collaboratively with other professionals colleagues and clients
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a professional and pleasant attitude
• Desire to produce quality work and grow professionally while adhering to ethical company standards
• Efficiently balance and maintain a schedule between several projects and timelines of multiple ongoing projects
• Must have a valid drivers license
• In compliance with federal law all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment verification form upon hire

Compensation and Benefits:

• Work hours are 8am 5pm 40 hours per week or as needed based on deadlines and project schedules
• Summer hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day) Monday Thursday 7:30 5:30 Friday 8:00 12:00
• Salary to be determined based on experience $60000$70000 range depending upon experience
