Position Overview
BayCare Medical Group is seeking a qualified candidate with academic and leadership experience to serve in a new role as the founding Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Josephs Hospital in Tampa Florida. The ideal candidate must be clinically active either ambulatory or hospitalbased demonstrating ongoing academic involvement passion for resident education plus a desire to collaborate with his or her colleagues.
The Ambulatory Internal Medicine Associate Program Director is part of the BayCare Health System GME leadership team and involves a combination of duties at their respective IM residency SJH 40 administrative responsibilities and 60 clinical duties). Administratively you will collaborate with the Program Director in developing implementing and reviewing all aspects of the Ambulatory Internal Medicine Training Curriculum. Your clinical responsibilities will predominantly include precepting residents with the possibility of a limited number of continuity clinics in an ambulatory setting in Tampa. This position will be 100 ambulatory to oversee the future 24000 square ft IM continuity clinic. Occasional afterhour phone coverage may be required. This fulltime MondayFriday position offers an outstanding work/life balancecompetitive Salary and bonus.
Qualifications
- BC by the American Board of Internal Medicineor American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in internal medicine
- Experience in medical education and/orstudent/resident teaching
- Ambulatory experience required
- Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
