Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Director for Compliance Training and Outreach will play a vital role in advancing the universitys commitment to preventing discrimination harassment sexual misconduct and other prohibited conduct. This position oversees the development implementation and management of compliance training programs on topics such as discrimination harassment Title IX and other federal and state regulations. The role includes coordinating outreach initiatives to raise awareness of university policies and procedures and collaborating with campus partners including but not limited to Student Affairs Human Resources and UAPD to align efforts and increase the effectiveness of compliance training and prevention programs.

This position also supports the universitys compliance with Title IX by assisting in the implementation of supportive measures monitoring complaint activity for systemic issues ensuring compliance through comprehensive training and education efforts and fostering a culture of respect equal opportunity access and accountability across the campus community.

Other duties as assigned.

Regular reliable and nondisruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education Human Resources Law Public Administration Public Policy a related field

  • At least three 3 years of experience in providing education and outreach related to compliance training specifically related to civil rights laws including Title IX Title VI Title VII ADA and related regulations

  • Indepth experience with federal and state compliance regulations and best practices in training and prevention programs

  • Experience in developing and managing educational campaigns and training programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in Education Human Resources Law Public Administration Public Policy or a related field

  • At least five 5 years of experience presenting educational programs and training in a university setting (such as EEO Title IX Student Affairs Human Resources)

  • Experience using data analysis methods assessment tools and report writing

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Indepth knowledge and understanding of civil rights laws and regulations including Title IX Title VI Title VII the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other related federal and state regulations

  • Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking skills

  • Strong presentation communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong ability to develop implement and assess training programs

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds
