Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach and develop undergraduate courses in marketing general business classes and insurance (i.e.. Risk Management).
- Courses are taught to students enrolled in the B.A. program in Business Administration.
- Conduct scholarly and research activities in areas related to teaching.
- Supervise senior projects administrative practicum and independent study activities.
- Participate in curriculum development activities including the development of curricular materials and special instructional methods.
- Serves on program division and university committees.
- Service to the professional and community relevant to academic specialty.
- Network with professional organizations to develop additional practicum sites for student internships.
- Serve as a faculty advisor for students in the program and in the student club and perform other related task as assigned.
- Duties as assigned by department chair.
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Business Administration or comparable degree. An ABD will be considered provided completion is August 2025.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching in the areas of marketing general business (i.e.. Organizational Behavior Strategic Management) and insurance.
- Evidence of independence enthusiasm and selfdirection ability to plan and organize assigned activities possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in teaching in the online environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Ability to interact effectively in a multicultural setting; experience in working with highly diverse communities and demonstrated excellence in teaching to culturally diverse students.
- Ability to work with the insurance industry.
