Job Description


Business Attorney


Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a boutique business litigation and transactional firm rooted in a legacy of excellence dating back to 1964. Based in Torrance California they handle complex matters involving real estate law business and commercial disputes construction litigation partnership conflicts and shareholder rights. Our dual approachoffering both litigation and transactional expertiseensures our clients receive holistic strategic legal counsel.


We are seeking a sharp and motivated entry-level attorney with 6 months to 1 year of experience in California litigation to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about litigation eager to learn and excited to gain hands-on experience in a variety of complex commercial matters.


Youll be working side-by-side with experienced litigators on high-level cases while building your skills in legal research drafting client interaction and courtroom procedure. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a collaborative firm gain substantive experience and contribute meaningfully from day one.


Duties:

  • Assist with case management and strategy development for commercial business and real estate litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings discovery motions legal memoranda and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and analysis across a range of commercial and real estate issues
  • Support senior attorneys in preparing for depositions mediations arbitrations and trials
  • Attend court hearings and depositions as experience permits
  • Communicate professionally with clients court staff and opposing counsel
  • Work closely with the team to support the firm-wide litigation strategy



Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in civil or business litigation (internship externship clerkship or post-bar experience acceptable)
  • Strong writing research and communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in complex litigation particularly in business or real estate matters
  • Eagerness to learn collaborate and take initiative
  • Familiarity with Los Angeles County courts and e-filing preferred



Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary $115000 - $130000 with bonus/commission opportunities
