Student Success and WellBeing Office of Student Financial Assistance:
Enrollment Services Professionals participate in activities related to academic admissions registration financial aid services and orientation for current and potential university students. Advise applicants and parents about educational planning.
The Opportunity:
UCFs Student Success and WellBeing Office of Student Financial Assistance is currently accepting applications for a Financial Aid Coordinator II to join their team. This position is responsible for administration of tuition and financial assistance programs. This role articulates the important role scholarships play as one option for financing college within the context of financial aid and in the recruitment and retention of students to students and their families university and high school personnel and donors.
Responsibilities:
Provides informed counseling to students and parents regarding the financial aid process including loans grants and scholarships.
Provides information on available options and programs.
Evaluates questions and escalated incidents from student correspondence phone bank front desk emails and other contacts to resolve loan issues and concerns.
Develops training materials and assists in presenting financial aid information to groups of students parents high school counselors and/or the general public in workshop or training sessions.
Coordinates the processing posting and disbursement of loans and scholarships Processes payment refunds and/or adjustments.
Monitors and coordinates reports for compliance and reconciliation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 2 years of relevant experience or a Masters degree and 0 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree.
1 year or more of Financial Aid counseling.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions when presented with problems.
Ability to provide explanations to others regarding facts and university policies and practices.
