Job Description
Barber Brothers Contracting Co. LLC a road construction contractor is seeking an Experienced Asphalt Equipment Operator for the Baton Rouge LA area.
The primary duty of the Asphalt Equipment Operator is to safely run and maintain equipment such as Asphalt Paver Asphalt Roller or Shuttle Buggy. The position is part of a crew that is responsible for various stages of large construction projects. The position requires consistent incorporation the companys safety initiatives into daily tasks.
Other duties include:
- Assist in the placement moving and dismantling of signs barricades cones and other traffic control devices.
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance and refer major problems to the supervisor.
- Exercise safe working practices including use of required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five plus years of Heavy Highway Experience.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience working outside in various weather conditions road preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from job site.
- Successful completion of preemployment background and drug screen.
