Job Description

TITLE: Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist with ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance issued by DOD

RATE RANGE: $35/hr $48/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)**

***$35/hr requires 4 years of experience $48/hr requires at least 6 years of experience

DURATION: Contract or contract to hire (conversion normally happens after 46 months)

CLEARANCE: Active Secret Security clearance required at the time of hire (you MUST be a US Citizen)

LOCATION: Manassas VA 20110 (No relocation package)

Exceptional Job Opportunity: Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist

Do you want to work within a hightech business focusing on software and hardware system integration cuttingedge research and development and manufacturing GeoLogics is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. Our team collaborates closely with the Navy internal production teams and industry partners to ensure the flawless delivery and operation of these critical systems in laboratory and submarine environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Test & Evaluation Engineer youll play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration.
  • Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups and external entities to define document analyze conduct and interpret tests.
  • Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.
  • Operating in a fastpaced integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
  • Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates.
  • Reporting to a supervisor or manager demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.

Your daytoday tasks will involve:

  • Crafting comprehensive test procedures.
  • Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
  • Performing installations ripouts testing and validation of tactical systems.
  • Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.
  • Supporting informal and formal test events as well as other customerdriven test activities.
  • Identifying analyzing and documenting software firmware and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities.
  • Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS

To excel in this role you should possess:

Experience with one of the following skills: the AN/BLQ10 AN/BYG1 Submarine Weapon Launchers or AN/BQQ10 systems. Basically someone coming off a sub or have been on a sub and dealing with weapon systems

Proficiency in software testing and analysis.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).

General knowledge of network configurations operations and commands.

Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset.

Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts principles and theories

Solid knowledge and experience with objectoriented programming system processes and scripting languages

Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency solicits input and optimizes solutions

This role may require intermittent travel both independently and as part of a team to support test events in partner and government labs as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Requires a Bachelors or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field or equivalent 4 years jobrelated experience).
