Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented individual to serve as the Nurse Payroll Coordinator for our Extended School Year (ESY) program. In this role you will manage payroll complexities for the nursing team including subnurses floating nurses and other specialized assignments ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Important Notice:

Ideal candidates will have experience in payroll management especially in roles involving diverse staff scheduling and multiple employee categories. Must be familiar with nursing staff structures or similar settings is highly preferred.

Program Description

The Extended School Year (ESY) program provides critical services to students with disabilities requiring dedicated nursing support to meet health and safety standards. Managing payroll for the nursing team is uniquely complex due to varied assignments including substitute and floating nurses. The Nurse Payroll Coordinator will play an essential role in ensuring payroll accuracy supporting both nurses and program administrators.

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Management for Nursing Team
    • Serve as the designated timekeeper for the nursing team managing all aspects of payroll entry approval and adjustments for subnurses floating nurses and assigned staff.
  2. Complex Scheduling Coordination
    • Track and manage complex schedules ensuring payroll accurately reflects varying assignments shifts and nurse availability throughout the program.
  3. Collaboration with HR and Program Leadership
    • Work closely with HR and ESY leadership to align payroll processes confirm accurate records and address any timekeeping discrepancies.
  4. Support for Nursing Staff
    • Provide assistance to nursing staff with payrollrelated questions or issues ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of payroll concerns.
  5. Additional Payroll Adjustments as Needed
    • Remain accessible for payroll adjustments and any necessary overtime calculations or schedule changes to ensure nursing payroll is accurate and complete.

Compensation:

The Nurse Payroll Coordinator will receive a stipend of $1500 for the duration of the ESY program reflecting compensation for responsibilities conducted outside of the standard workday.

Qualifications Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing email
  • Good communication skills
