Description
MedVet Northern Utah is seeking a Specialty InPatient Care Associate Veterinarian (Hospitalist) for our growing 24/7 ER and Specialty hospital. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Specialty Services assisting in the intake and management of noncritical hospitalized patients. Duties will include developing treatment plans communicating with clients and referral partners and maintaining accurate medical records. Primary care practitioners with an interest in specialty medicine will find a unique caseload and learning opportunity. This is a unique opportunity for a smallanimal veterinarian currently working in general or emergency practice and interested in working in a specialty practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Seeing sameday transfers from referring partners.
- Overseeinginpatients acrossthe hospital
- Updatingclients and referral partners on patientstatus.
- SupportingtheER and surgerywith procedures patient recoveries records and communication both to clients and referral partnersif needed.
- Working with the hospital leadership teamto improve workflow and standard operating procedures.
- Contributing to the ongoing training of clinical team members.
- Acting as a referral partner liaison to strengthen our relationships within the community
