Job Description
Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved college or universityMasters degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience is preferred. Experience in alcohol and drug field desirable.
- CPR and CPI certifications (training provided at the facility)
- Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of North Carolina.
- Ability to work with male and female adult 18over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed population.
- Working experience in the field of addictionology preferred but not required.
Essential Job Duties
- Performs Medical Assessment at all levels of care within timeframe.
- Completes documentation in the medical record accuratelyand timely recording all care rendered.
- Prescribes medication as indicated
- Provides consultation to nonmedical staff regarding condition of patient
- Participates in the multidisciplinary treatment team
