Job Description
*Please note that members of our Theology department must be practicing Catholics.*
Archbishop Spalding High School is accepting applications for the position of Theology teacher for theacademic year.
Essential Functions
- Plan and implement daily lessons for students based on the school curriculum and Catholic teachings.
- Manage all aspects of the classroom (including but not limited to instruction discipline communication etc..
- Perform assigned teacher duties on a rotating schedule with the rest of the faculty.
- Communicate student progress with parents through inperson and online systems.
- Engage in cocurricular programs.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Theology or Religious Studies
- Qualifications needed for MSDE secondary certification
- Indepth knowledge of a variety of areas of Religious Studies including (but not limited to) World Religions Catholic Social Justice Theology and Catholic Doctrine
- A pedagogical knowledge that encourages critical thinking
- Understanding and appreciation for curriculum development and collaboration
- A passion for the 21stcentury student
- Proficiency in utilizing digital or online platforms
- A desire to embrace the values of Catholic education and the Archbishop Spalding community both in and outside the classroom

Range: $42000 $85000 Annualized
