Job Description
Location: Gauteng South Africa
Overview:
Hire Resolves Client are a leading mining company based in Gauteng South Africa. Our Client is currently seeking a qualified Purchasing Manager to join their team and oversee all procurement activities related to our mining operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans that align with the companys overall goals and objectives
Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing for all miningrelated purchases
Manage the procurement process from start to finish including issuing requests for proposals evaluating bids and selecting vendors
Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure ontime delivery and quality products/services
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as operations and finance to ensure alignment on purchasing decisions
Stay current on market trends products and pricing in the mining industry to make informed purchasing decisions
Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
Develop and implement costsaving initiatives to improve the companys profitability
Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and contracts
Requirements:
Grade 12
Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Commerce
4 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing gained in Mining
2 years in strategic sourcing experience
Previous experience in BBBEE Reporting and Mining Charter
Previous SAP experience
Benefits:
