This candidate will be excellent at driving communicationsetting priorities making quality decisions and problem solving.Ourplanners play an important part of our clients overall Strategic MeetingManagement Program (SMMP) by focusing on business meetings that impact ourclients strategy and bottom line.
MeetingPlanners manage all aspects of planning internal and external meetings in theUS and also across the globe. Each planner ensures meetings are implementedaccording to the timeline budget and clients expectations. Planners handle meetingsfor business unit meeting owners and their support staff. These meetingsandevents requirehigh touch and outstanding customer service. Theyhave ultimate accountability and take the lead role on all program deliveryelements utilizing standard processes and procedures to achieve clientsatisfaction.
Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for endtoend meeting managementfor meetings hosted by business unit meeting owners and their support staff.
Works closely with meeting hosts and vendorsto ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics in an effort toprotect the customers business interests and brand.
Possesses a Make it Happen attitude bytaking action on any urgent or unique requests made by customers within theconfines of approved business conduct practices.
Delivers excellent verbal and writtencommunication with extreme attention to detail.
Provides unparalleled customer service andthe customer experience to meeting owners and attendees
Plan meetings with meticulous attention todetail
Proactively escalate potential client orprogram issues to management for timely resolution
Ownership and communication of timelinebudget/proforma and reporting
Financial accountability for programsincluding adherence to deposit terms project estimates and billingguidelines
Work closely with the sourcing specialists todrive the venue sourcing process and negotiation of all vendor contractsrelated to a particular meeting or event.
Presents meeting specific proposals anddebriefs to business units owner as required
Travel to programs as needed to provideonsite assistance for assigned programs acting as the program lead or incollaboration with a meeting host
Complies with Meeting & Event technologyusage as required (StarCite). Knowledge of this web based registration tool isa plus.
