Job Summary
The Collision Center Manager oversees daily operations ensuring repairs meet the highest standards while leading a team of technicians estimators and service advisors. This role requires strong leadership problemsolving skills and a customerfirst mindset. The ideal candidate has experience in collision repair management team leadership and financial growth strategies.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Hire train and manage collision center staff
Set performance goals and foster a positive team environment
Oversee technician productivity and maintain workflow efficiency
Operations and Customer Service
Manage repair estimates parts procurement and repair timelines
Ensure all repairs meet safety quality and OEM standards
Work with insurance companies to maintain Direct Repair Programs (DRPs)
Build strong relationships with customers insurance partners and vendors
Handle customer concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels
Sales and Business Growth
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive financial success
Develop strategies to increase revenue and improve shop efficiency
Collaborate with marketing and ownership to attract new customers
Process Improvement and Compliance
Improve shop processes for better efficiency and results
Maintain ICAR OEM and industry certifications
Stay current on industry trends and repair advancements
Requirements
Qualifications
35 years of experience in collision center or body shop management
Strong understanding of collision repair processes insurance DRPs and shop operations
Proven ability to manage workflow technician efficiency and production timelines
Experience with estimating and shop management systems
Excellent leadership communication and customer service skills
Ability to forecast sales control costs and manage financial performance
Proven ability to collaborate with service managers marketing teams vendors andinsurance partners
Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency
ICAR Certification preferred
