Duties and Responsibilities

  • *Serve as an assistant administrative officer in the Deans Office providing fiscal and human resource support to the College.
  • *Assist in preparing reviewing & processing all fiscal documents & ensure compliance with University State Federal and/or RCUH/granting agency regulations.
  • Fiscal approving authority limit of $15000.
  • Prepare and audit personnel documents for BOR appointments casual hires and undergraduate and graduate student assistants for compliance with rules and regulations. Liaise with SECE and payroll offices.
  • *Conduct annual physical inventory verifications and maintain inventory records. Serve as the Colleges main liaison with various central offices such as PFMO and OPRPM.
  • *Serve as the Colleges parking coordinator responsible for annual parking zone assignments
  • *Serve as the Colleges EEO/AA Designee with responsibilities for overseeing the recruitment and selection process of faculty and APT personnel ensuring compliance with University state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Serve as working supervisor to subordinate APT employees casual hires and undergraduate student assistants.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Education Business Administration or related field and 2 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for fiscal and human resources administration; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
  2. Functional knowledge of principles practices and techniques in fiscal and human resources administration demonstrated by knowledge understanding and ability to apply concepts terminology.
  3. Functional knowledge and understanding of principles theories federal and state laws rules regulations and systems associated with fiscal and human resources administration.
  4. Demonstrated ability to recognize problems identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the administration of fiscal and human resource management.
  5. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation write reports and procedures and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
  6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team members and individuals.
  7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
  8. Experience providing fiscal and administrative support for a higher institution.
  9. Knowledge and/or experience with Kuali Financial System RCUH SECE TAPS EEO/AA and other online systems.


Desirable Qualifications

  1. Knowledge and/or experience with state UH and RCUH procurement policies and procedures.
