Job Description

Performs work associated with the planning and coordination of contractors on the property performing grounds work. Ensures that other grounds employees are completing work as directed by management. In addition performs work associated with maintenance and care of the grounds on the Companys premises. Maintains all grounds surrounding Company buildings and stations in Spokane using hand and power operated equipment. Applies fertilizers and other plant aids to optimize plant growth and care. Maintains irrigation components by ensuring system functionality and accuracy. Performs other grounds work to include snow removal pond/pool care and maintenance and walkways/roads/lots. This position is the highest progression of a multilevel progression.

This position is instrumental in maintaining the reliability of systems used to ensure the safety of Avistas employees and customers. Therefore a positive safety culture is a primary focus for this position.

Requirements
Requires a minimum of two 2 years previous experience maintaining lawns or buildings. Plumbing agriculture horticulture or landscaping experience is a must. Must be able to obtain the Private Commercial Applicator Turf and Ornamental Control applicator license six 6 months from hire date. Must have experience in basic computers and associated software (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite). Requires a valid drivers license. Other combinations of education /experience may be considered.
