Details: This announcement is for position of School Psychologist in the Rome City School district.
This is a 210 day position.
Rome City Schools is home to six elementary schools one middle school and one high school in Rome Georgia approximately 65 miles NW of Atlanta. More information about the system may be found on our website: .
The candidates selected for this position must hold the appropriate Georgia Professional Standards Commissions certificate in School Psychology.
The candidates selected must also have excellent references; ability to complete the results of comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; develop reports and interpret the results of psychoeducational evaluations; assist the IEP committee in determining eligibility for special education; assist in the RTI and SST processes by providing research based intervention recommendations and appropriate progress monitoring tools; provide consultation to parents students teachers administrators and other professionals to enhance student learning and achievement; provide crisis intervention support as needed; and any other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.

Successful candidates for this position must be willing to attend new teacher training tentatively scheduled for mid July. All persons employed in a Georgia public school must undergo fingerprinting.
