Cytel is hiring a Strategic Analyst to join our Quantitative Strategies & Data Science Core Practice within our Strategic Consulting division. Analysts provide statistical/computational input to Strategic Consulting projects to assist with defining optimal regulatory clinical and/or health economic pathways and promoting faster patient access to better health technologies. As a trained Biostatistician and an expert programmer with exposure to bioinformatics data science and/or pharmacometrics and a working knowledge of clinical trials and the pharmaceutical biotech device industry you will support the Lead Consultant with client engagements writing and testing algorithms and predictive models and interpreting results to support product development life cycle optimization and decision making. Analysts collaborate effectively with an integrated team of Strategic Consultants and Analysts keep abreast with emerging trends tools and technologies and report to an Analysis Group Line Manager Strategic Consulting.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Lead Consultant for assigned Strategic Consulting projects providing regular progress reports and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Collaborating with an integrated team of Strategic Consultants and Analysts identifying emerging project needs and formulating appropriate solutions to meet the project goals.
- Ensuring company and business unit policies standards and procedures are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Understanding of the biopharmaceutical R&D process preferred.
- Comfortable presenting and interfacing with consultants and clients.
- Smart with strong grammatical/technicalwriting oral communication and presentation skills excellent use of the English language and nuanced communicator.
- Collaborative entrepreneurial and selfmotivated without the need for significant infrastructure and support and with an understanding of the dynamics of highgrowth companies; the ability to work effectively in a demanding challenging rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent organization and multitasking capabilities strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Minimum of a Masters (PhD desirable) in Mathematics Biostatistics Engineering Data Science or a related field; at least 2 years of experience in the clinical trials or health research environment. Fresh graduates would also be considered based on their overall profile.
- Strong R and Python skills are required. Knowledge of other programming languages such as C/C or SAS is desirable.
