Sentara Health is now hiring a Business Analyst (Remote)!
Overview
The Business Analyst is responsible for designing and generating reports dashboards and visualizations for business operations. Analyzing trends patterns and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights and maintaining data integrity accuracy and consistency in reporting. The incumbent must be able to utilize SQL Excel Power BI Tableau or other analytics tools to extract and manipulate data; conduct statistical analysis to support datadriven decisionmaking and translate complex data into concise easytounderstand reports for stakeholders. The Business Analyst must be able to assist in the development implementation and optimization of business information systems; maintain data structures queries and reporting tools to support business needs; and work closely with IT teams to ensure data availability and system functionality. In addition the incumbent will be responsible for documenting business processes data sources and reporting methodologies identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement and providing recommendations for enhancing data collection storage and analysis methods while working closely with crossfunctional teams business stakeholders and IT to understand reporting needs.
Education
- Bachelors Degree (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience
- Required to have experience working with healthcare data.
- Required to have an understanding of claims and how they are paid.
- Required to have 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis data reporting or analytics.
- Experience working with business intelligence (BI) tools SQL querying and reporting software.
- Experience working with large datasets and multiple databases.

We provide marketcompetitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$53476.80$89128.00Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials standby/oncall overtime premiums extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.Legal Resources Plan
