Job Description
The Core/Prosthesis Supply Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the operation of the surgical cores instrument rooms and operating rooms and the prosthesis and supply areas. Coordinates and performs daily activities that support the surgical practice. Provides supervision of staff assigned to the cores and/or the supply and prosthesis areas maintenance of inventory instrumentation implant management and maintenance and updating of the surgical inventory management system.
Qualifications
High School Graduate. Minimum of one year of experience in operating room or surgical instrument processing/inventory management setting.
Additional qualifications:
Excellent communication organizational and task management skills. Previous supervisory experience preferred and recent operating room experience preferred. Knowledge of quality assurance inventory control and continuous improvement concepts is preferred. Sterilization certification through HSPA preferred; alternatively must acquire within 18 months of start date.
License and Certification:
Sterilization certification through HSPA must acquire within 18 months of start date.
